How we build your podcast, step by step
Every great podcast follows a proven path from idea to audience. Here is exactly how we take you through that journey, with transparency at every stage.
The six stages of production
Our streamlined workflow has been refined over hundreds of episodes. Each phase builds on the last to ensure nothing is left to chance.
Discovery call
Everything begins with a conversation. During our complimentary discovery call, we spend thirty to forty-five minutes learning about your background, your target audience, the topics you want to explore, and the goals you have for your podcast. Are you looking to build thought leadership in your industry? Drive traffic to an existing business? Create a community around a shared passion? Understanding your "why" allows us to tailor every subsequent decision — from format and episode length to tone and release cadence — so that your show is strategically aligned from day one. We also discuss any technical constraints, such as whether you prefer to record in person at our Waterford studio or remotely from your own location. By the end of this call, both sides have a clear picture of the project scope and timeline.
Strategy and planning
With the insights from our discovery session, our content strategists draft a comprehensive show blueprint. This document covers your podcast name and tagline options, episode format (solo, interview, panel, narrative), ideal episode length, seasonal structure, and a content calendar for your first twelve to sixteen episodes. We research your niche to identify underserved topics and competitive gaps that your show can fill. Simultaneously, our designers begin developing cover art concepts, intro and outro music direction, and a visual style guide for social media assets. You receive the full blueprint for review and revision before we proceed, ensuring you feel confident in the creative direction. This planning phase typically takes five to seven business days and sets the foundation for a consistent, high-quality podcast.
Recording
When it is time to record, we make the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. If you visit our studio in Waterford, you will find a professionally treated recording space with high-end condenser microphones, pop filters, and real-time monitoring. For remote recordings, we provide you with a detailed equipment guide and set up a cloud-based recording session that captures separate audio tracks for each participant — ensuring maximum flexibility in post-production. Our producer joins every session to manage levels, prompt natural conversation, and flag any technical issues in real time. We typically record two to four episodes per session, giving you a buffer of ready content so you never miss a release date. Between sessions, we send you preparation sheets with talking points and guest research to keep recordings focused and efficient.
Editing and mastering
This is where raw audio transforms into a polished listening experience. Our editors perform a multi-pass process: the first pass removes long pauses, filler words, false starts, and off-topic tangents; the second pass addresses noise reduction, room-tone matching, and EQ balancing; the third pass adds your branded intro, outro, chapter markers, and any music beds or sound effects. Finally, the episode is mastered to meet loudness standards (LUFS targets for Apple Podcasts and Spotify) so your show sounds consistent regardless of the listener's device or platform. Each finished episode is accompanied by a set of show notes, a timestamped transcript, and suggested social media copy. Our average turnaround from raw recording to ready-to-review episode is four business days.
Review and approval
Before any episode goes live, you have full control. We share a private preview link where you can listen to the finished episode, read through the show notes and transcript, and request any changes. Most clients request minor tweaks — trimming a section, adjusting music volume, or rephrasing a show-note bullet point — and we turn revisions around within twenty-four hours. We include up to two revision rounds per episode in our standard packages, though additional rounds are available if needed. This collaborative review step ensures that every episode meets your standards and accurately represents your voice and brand before it reaches your audience.
Launch and growth
Once approved, we handle the technical side of publication. Your episode is uploaded to your hosting platform with optimised metadata — title, description, keywords, and category tags — designed to maximise discoverability. We distribute to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, and over a dozen additional directories. On launch day, we provide a promotional toolkit including audiogram clips, quote graphics, email newsletter copy, and suggested social media captions. For ongoing clients, we track key performance metrics each month — downloads, listener retention, geographic distribution, and episode-level engagement — and present actionable insights to guide future content decisions. Our goal is not just to launch your show but to help it grow steadily over time.
What sets our process apart
Plenty of studios can press record. Here is why our approach delivers consistently better results for podcast creators.
Dedicated producer for every show
You are never passed between departments or left wondering who to contact. A single dedicated producer oversees your podcast from the discovery call through every episode release. They learn your voice, your preferences, and your audience intimately, which means the quality and consistency of your show improves with every episode. Your producer is also your first point of contact for any questions, schedule changes, or creative ideas — providing a level of personal attention that larger production houses simply cannot match.
Transparent pricing, no hidden fees
We believe in straightforward pricing that reflects the actual work involved. Before we begin, you receive a detailed proposal outlining every deliverable, deadline, and cost. There are no surprise charges for revisions within scope, no per-minute editing fees that balloon unpredictably, and no lock-in contracts that force you to stay if you are unhappy. Our packages are structured around the number of episodes per month, and you can scale up or down as your needs evolve. This transparency builds trust and lets you budget confidently for your podcast as a long-term investment.

Most new shows go from discovery call to first published episode in four to six weeks. This includes strategy development, branding, recording your initial batch of episodes, editing, and platform setup. If you already have recorded material that needs editing and distribution, we can often launch within two weeks.
Not necessarily. If you record at our Waterford studio, all equipment is provided. For remote recordings, we recommend a quality USB microphone and headphones — we provide a specific equipment guide with options at various price points. Absolutely. We work with all major podcast hosting platforms including Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Transistor, Podbean, and Anchor. If you do not have a hosting account yet, we will recommend the best fit based on your budget and feature requirements and handle the setup for you.
We understand that priorities shift. You can pause your production schedule for up to two months without penalty, and you can cancel with thirty days written notice.
